We are delighted to share our appointment to lead the positioning, creative direction, and marketing for the upcoming Nobu Maldives, a new landmark resort set amid the turquoise waters and pristine beaches of Laamu Atoll on the private island of Munyafushi. This project, developed in partnership between Nobu Hospitality and Sarat International, marks Nobu’s first resort in the Maldives.

Nestled in one of the world’s most compelling ocean landscapes, the resort will comprise 26 one- and two-bedroom beach villas and 30 one- and two-bedroom overwater villas. The design for each space will reflect Nobu’s signature aesthetic of clean lines, natural texture, and a calming, sophisticated palette that complements the setting.

A defining feature of the development is the ultra-limited collection of just ten Nobu Island Estate Residences. Each residence occupies its own private island and offers direct ocean access, generous living and dining pavilions, private beachfronts, panoramic Indian Ocean views, and dedicated yacht mooring. These estates will allow owners an extraordinary blend of privacy and connection to the resort’s hospitality amenities.

At the heart of the guest experience will be a Nobu restaurant set on its own island, complete with a bar and lounge serving Chef Nobu’s celebrated Japanese-Peruvian cuisine. Additional resort facilities will include a full-service spa, thoughtfully designed fitness spaces, a diving centre, tennis courts, event venues, and a central pool.

Architecture and interiors are shaped by Nobu’s Japanese heritage, expressed through purposeful forms, fluid spatial sequences, and a mindful integration with the island’s natural landscape and ocean horizon.

Our third project with Nobu Hospitality, our role encompasses defining the resort’s position in the luxury hospitality and branded residences landscape, crafting the brand narrative that will introduce it to global audiences, and shaping a creative framework that communicates both Nobu’s story and this destination’s singular sense of place.

This appointment reflects our continued focus on projects where strategic clarity and creative distinction are critical from the outset. Nobu’s entrance into the Maldives represents a new chapter for the brand in a destination long admired by travellers worldwide, and we are honoured to help shape how this chapter is presented and understood.
